Experiential learning opportunities such as internships, student teaching, service-learning, paraprofessional employment, assisting with faculty research, musical recitals, and other examples of hands-on education assist students in building professional competences and apply what they are learning in the college classroom to real-world situations. Through these intentional and authentic learning experiences, students engage in training, reflection, continuous improvement, assessment, and evaluation which will help students develop a robust portfolio as well as enhance their resume.
