Laboratory Safety Training

Laboratory Safety Training:

Online Laboratory Safety Training is provided by CITI Training through the Research Compliance Department. All employees and students working in Rowan's research or teaching laboratories are required to complete this training.

The following Laboratory Safety training programs are provided through CITI Training:

  • All Laboratory Employees & Students must complete: General Laboratory Safety Training
  • All Laboratory Employees & Students where biological materials are worked with or stored must complete: General Biological Laboratory Research
  • All Laboratory Employees & Students where rDNA or sDNA is worked with or stored must complete: rDNA and sDNA Laboratory Research
  • All Laboratory Employees & Students where hazardous biological materials and/or human and non-human primate source materials/specimens are worked with or stored* must complete: Hazardous Biological Materials and Human Samples Laboratory Research                                         
  • All Laboratory Employees & Students shipping/transporting biological materials must complete: Shipping and Transporting Biological Materials

*Hazardous materials and/or human and non-human primate source material/specimens include cell lines, tissues, etc. acquired/procured from a commercial vendor or a collaborator.

Radiation Safety Training: 

Radiation safety training is conducted on an annual basis by the University's Radiation Safety Officer, Tom Boyle.

Laser Safety Training:

Ladder Safety Training:

American Ladder Institute provides ladder safety training. Once complete, upload certificate into BioRAFT documents tab.
