What will you do at Rowan?

Dr. Drew Tinnin leads many Division of Student Life facilities, programs and services focused on promoting student involvement at Rowan University. Areas of responsibility include Campus Recreation, the Chamberlain Student Center & Campus Activities and Orientation & Student Leadership Programs. Dr. Tinnin serves as an advisor for the Student Government Association and the campus administrator for the ProfLink co-curricular engagement platform. Through these many opportunities, he helps students answer the question, "What will you do at Rowan?"


Always attentive to students in transition, Dr. Tinnin previously served as a complex coordinator for a first-year living-learning community at the University of Toledo and as a coordinator of student orientation and welcome programs at the University of Michigan. He has led Rowan's orientation and student leadership programming since 2010. His passion for student affairs began during his undergraduate involvement in student government, and continued during his time as a resident assistant and a member of the marketing staff for the student union.Dr. Tinnin attended Southeast Missouri State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication (Public Communications emphasis) and has a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Higher Education) from Rowan University, and his dissertation research focused on the professional competency development of higher education administration graduate students through supervised practice. He is a Certified Student Affairs Educator.
