Please be aware of the important dates for Spring 2025 as you prepare for your arrival. As the semester approaches, this information is subject to change. Check back frequently for the most up-to-date information.
Friday, January 10 and Monday, January 13: Move-In for New International Students
- Move-in for new international students will be from 10am to 4pm. Students must pick up their RowanCard from Savitz Hall immediately upon arrival. After picking up your RowanCard, report directly to your assigned Residential Hall to move in.You should arrive between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and arrange your own transportation internally to your rooms. If you arrive after 4:00 pm, you will be responsible for arranging your own temporary accommodations.

Ground Transportation:
Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to Rowan. We recommend flying into Philadelphia International Airport as this is the closest airport to Glassboro, New Jersey. However, you may fly into any airport you choose. Please click here for updated information about ground transportation from Philadelphia airport to Rowan in Glassboro.

Next Steps
Confirm Your Enrollment
Accept your offer of admission and pay the required enrollment deposit. International students must confirm their enrollment before applying for an I-20. The enrollment confirmation form is available in your application portal.
If you would like to defer your acceptance to the next semester, please request a revised Acceptance Letter from the International Admissions Office for the semester you plan to enroll by sending an email to international@rowan.edu and copying rowanic@rowan.edu.
The International Center will revise your I-20 based on the new acceptance letter.
Rowan NetID and Email
You should be able to activate your Rowan NetID 48 hours after you pay the required enrollment deposit. Check your email for more information.
To access your Rowan email for the first time, follow these instructions for setting up new student accounts.
For additional assistance with username, password, and PIN issues, call the Rowan University Support Desk at +1 856-256-4400 or email support@rowan.edu.
Rowan policy is that, after matriculation, all official correspondence from Rowan University is sent to your Rowan email address.

Wellness Center Requirements
The required health forms can all be found at the Wellness Center website. You must submit these forms and records (in English) to the Wellness Center as soon as possible. If you do not complete these requirements, you will not be permitted to begin classes or live on campus.
Health Insurance is required for all full-time undergraduate and graduate students. View the Health Insurance Plan Options for International Students website for more information.

Housing and Meals
On-Campus Housing
Rowan’s policy states that all undergraduate students who are unmarried, under the age of 21, and not living with a parent or legal guardian are required to reside in University residence facilities until the completion of their second academic year (58 credits). Please apply for Rowan Housing on this webpage.
If you want to live on campus, please check your On-Campus housing options.
Off-Campus Housing
There are many off-campus rental properties around Rowan University for students. Visit Rowan’s Renting Resources webpage for more information on renting in the Glassboro area. The Off-Campus Student Hub website provides additional information about living off-campus as a Rowan student.
Meal Plans
All first-year residence hall students are required to purchase either the All-Access or 14-meal plan for their first semester. Meal Plan options can be found on the Residential Learning and University Housing website.
Spring 2025 Move-in
Spring 2025 International Student Move-In is scheduled for Friday, January 10th and Monday, January 13th.
You will not be able to move into your residential hall over the weekend, as University Housing and Residential Life Offices are closed on weekends.
Please report to Savitz Hall to pick up your RowanCard, then report to your residential hall for to check in. You should arrive between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and arrange your own transportation internally to your rooms. If you arrive after 4:00 pm, you will be responsible for arranging your own temporary accommodations. The closest and most convenient hotel is the Marriott hotel in Glassboro. The next day, you will need to visit your residential building during business hours to move into your dorms.

Earliest Possible Arrival on F-1 & J-1 Visas
The earliest day you can arrive in the U.S. is 30 days before your program start date. The date is listed on your I-20 as the "Earliest Admission Date" in the Program of Study section.
You must NOT use your student visa to enter the U.S. more than 30 days before the start of your program. Also, DO NOT enter the U.S. on a B-1 or B-2 status (tourist) as it is considered fraudulent entry.
