Degree in 3
The Degree in 3 program allows students to earn free summer tuition, fees and housing if they have met their academic requirements in the previous fall and spring semesters. It also provides students with on-campus leadership internships and/or research opportunities and academic support programs throughout students’ three years.
The Degree in 3 – Summers Free program will save students approximately $22,000 toward a bachelor’s degree, roughly 25 percent of what a degree would cost over a four-year period.
Summer Aid for Degree in 3
Financial aid during the traditional academic year is the same for all Rowan students. During the summer when the student is receiving free summer tuition and housing, students may still be eligible to get some financial aid up to their cost of attendance. The amount may be limited, please complete a summer aid request as usual. We will award the aid for which you are eligible.
Admissions for Degree in 3
Students enrolled in the Degree in 3 program must live on campus all three years, including their first and second summers. In addition to taking classes and living on campus free of charge during the summers, students are required to work toward completing 200 hours of leadership internships or academic-related work experiences during their three years at Rowan. The most convenient way to cover these hours will be to work 100 hours per summer. Students also will receive specialized academic support and participate in cohort experiences throughout the year.
Summer Aid
Summer semester is considered a “trailer” to the standard academic year. This means that summer acts as a third semester of the award year. As a result, only students who have not exhausted their aid eligibility for the year will have remaining federal aid for the Summer term.
