Rowan University is a member of the NCAA Division III. Academics are the primary focus for Division III student-athletes. The division minimizes the conflicts between athletics and academics and helps student-athletes progress toward graduation through shorter practice and playing seasons and regional competition that reduces time away from academic studies. As a Division III member, Rowan University does not offer athletically related student aid.
The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requires a school that has an intercollegiate athletic program to make prospective students aware of its commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for its male and female students. As part of this requirement, each fall schools must make certain information available to students, prospective students, and the public in easily accessible places and must also report the information to the Department. Rowan Athletics publishes the Report on Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support Data.
