Every Rowan student gets a $40 Free Printing balance loaded onto their RowanCard at the start of each academic year in August. It's simple to use, but there are a few important details to remember!
Using Your Free Printing
-
Send the Job: Send your document to any campus printer.
-
Go to the Printer: Locate the printer and swipe your RowanCard on the attached reader.
-
Print and Deduct: Your print job will start, and the cost will be deducted from your $40 Free Printing balance.
What Happens When You Run Out?
Once your Free Printing funds are exhausted, you must use Rowan Bucks to pay for future print jobs. Be sure to keep a Rowan Bucks balance loaded so you don't get stuck before a deadline!

Your Free Printing balance cannot be used for making photocopies. If you try to use a copier on campus:
-
It will automatically charge your Rowan Bucks account.
-
If you don't have enough Rowan Bucks, the copy job will be denied.
What is the difference between RowanBucks and Dining Dollars?
That's a great question—it's the one we hear most often! Understanding the difference is key to getting the most out of your RowanCard.
Dining Dollars (The "Use It or Lose It" Funds)
-
What they are: Funds designated strictly for food purchases.
-
Where to use them: All dining locations on campus and select food merchants on Rowan Boulevard.
-
The critical rule: Dining Dollars are NOT replenishable, and any unused balance is removed from your account at the end of the academic year. SO, USE THOSE DINING DOLLARS FIRST!
Rowan Bucks (The Flexible, Rollover Funds)
-
What they are: Your flexible campus currency.
-
Where to use them: Anywhere Dining Dollars are accepted PLUS they cover printing, laundry, vending, and can be used at nearly 100 off-campus merchants that accept the RowanCard. You can find the full list of merchants here: [Insert Link to Merchant List].
-
The great news: Rowan Bucks can be replenished at any time. If you graduate or leave Rowan with a balance over $10, the funds are refunded to you (as long as you don't have an outstanding university bill).
Pro Tip: To save your Rowan Bucks, always ask cashiers to use your Dining Dollars first on eligible food purchases!

While many factors can affect your RowanCard’s performance, these are the most common issues we see in our office.

Please be aware that Dining Dollars can only be used for food purchases on-campus and at select Rowan Boulevard food locations. Rowan Bucks can be used for food as well as any other purchase wherever the RowanCard is accepted. On/off campus meal transactions can be used at selected Rowan Boulevard merchants.
What are the meal period times each day?
How does a block meal plan work?

How does the All Access Meal Plan Work
When you purchase the All Access meal plan, two meal plans will be loaded onto your RowanCard: All Access MP and All Access Retail.

All Access MP allows unlimited entry to Glassworks Eatery during each meal period. You can come and go as often as you like within the same period. However, you must wait until the next meal period to use your meal swipe at any Grubhub or other retail dining location on campus.
-
If you choose not to visit Glassworks Eatery during a meal period, you may use one All Access Retail meal swipe instead. Once you use a Retail swipe, you will be locked out from using another meal swipe until the next meal period.
