2024 Homecoming Celebration FAQs

What is this year’s Homecoming theme? This year's theme is "Hearts of Gold."

What date and time does the Homecoming Celebration take place? The Homecoming Celebration takes place on Saturday, November 2 and begins at 11 a.m. Festivities taking place in Lot O-1 will end at 3 p.m. with the exception of the University Showcase which ends at 2 p.m. Tailgating in Lot O will end at 6 p.m.

Where does the Homecoming Celebration take place? All Homecoming festivities were relocated to Parking Lots O and O-1 in 2022. This moves all the celebrations away from the heavy traffic of Bowe Boulevard and helps limit sound from the celebration area from interfering with sound within the stadium, particularly during the game.

Where should I park for the Homecoming Celebration? Guests are encouraged to park in the B, C and D lots.

Is tailgating permitted by members of the Rowan community? Yes! If you are an alum or student interested in tailgating at the Homecoming Celebration taking place on Saturday, November 2 you are required to pre-register by Monday, October 28.

I have more questions about the tailgating. Where can I find answers? All the information you need to know about tailgating at the Homecoming Celebration can be found on the Homecoming website.

I don’t see the Alumni Tent anymore. Will there be food at this year’s event? Yes! In 2022, in lieu of the catered food in the Alumni Tent we began welcoming a variety of food trucks to campus. As such, there will be no Alumni Tent. There will be a tent with picnic tables to sit down and eat. Food trucks accept cash and credit cards. The first 500 student attendees will receive $10 in tickets to use for the food trucks as long as they swipe in with their Rowan student ID at the Welcome Tent located along Stadium Drive.

What will there be to do at this year’s Homecoming Celebration? Rowan’s Homecoming Celebration includes a University Showcase (an opportunity to explore what’s new with our Colleges, Schools, and departments); three tailgating areas reserved for our affinity groups; some of the best food trucks in the region; and a Kids Zone to keep your little owls occupied with Touch-A-Truck, face painting, balloon art, inflatables and more.

Do I need to register to attend? Yes. Registration is free, and the first 1,000 alumni to visit the Welcome Tent on November 2 will receive a limited-edition tote bag and a ticket to the big game. Click here for additional game ticket information. Click here to register for the Homecoming Celebration! Registration closes on October 28.

Will there be a Beer Garden this year? Absolutely! Enjoy beer from Glassboro’s very own Bonesaw Brewing Co. at one of our two beer garden locations. A ticket to the game is required to access the Stadium Beer Garden which will open at 1:15 p.m. and serve until the start of the 4th quarter. The other Beer Garden is located underneath the Prof Pavilion in Lot O-1. Entry both beer gardens is 21+ and only cash is accepted.

What is this I hear about the 2024 Alumni Tee Release? Each year a new shirt design is released in limited quantities and is exclusively available on our website and at Homecoming.  To secure your shirt in time for this year's Homecoming Celebration taking place on October 28 be sure to order by no later than October 10. A limited supply of t-shirts will be available for purchase day-of.

Is there a map of this year’s Homecoming Celebration? A map can be found here.

What time is the game? Cheer on the Rowan University Profs as they take on the Montclair State Red Hawks at 2 p.m.
