Regalia

The tradition and symbolism of Commencement are reflected in the academic regalia worn by all graduates. To participate in any ceremony, candidates must wear the official Rowan University cap and gown.

Rowan University has customized regalia for all graduates, available exclusively for purchase at the Glassboro Barnes & Noble, starting at the in-person Commencement Fair. 

• In-person at Rowan Barnes & Noble
  • Starting Monday, April 6, 2026, visit Rowan Barnes & Noble during normal business hours to purchase your cap and gown. Availability of specific sizes cannot be guaranteed after April 24, 2026.
• Commencement Fair @ Rowan Barnes & Noble
  • Dates: Monday, April 6, 2026 – Thursday, April 9, 2026
  • Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily
  • Representatives from the cap & gown vendor will be on-site to assist with sizing and answer questions. Class ring vendors will also be present.
• Online
  • Cap and gowns may be ordered online and shipped directly to graduates. The deadline to order to receive in time for commencement will be annouced soon, and a link to order will be provided.

Custom doctoral regalia

Custom doctoral regalia can be ordered through Barnes and Noble. The cost for custom regalia is $1,375.00, and the deadline to order is March 6, 2026. Email wojcik@rowan.edu to order.
