Registration
Registration is required to attend commencement ceremonies. Students must complete registration for each ceremony they wish to attend. After registering for a commencement ceremony, students will gain access to guest tickets for that ceremony. Tickets are distributed exclusively to students via Marching Order, the commencement registration and ticketing system. Registration for May 2025 Commencement Ceremonies opens February 1, 2025 at noon.
- Visit go.rowan.edu/commencementparticipation or Self Service Banner>Student tab >Commencement Attendance Confirmation
- Log-in with Rowan credentials and duo security to access the Marching Order graduate homepage. On the homepage you will see each ceremony you are eligible to participate in.
- Complete a registration form for each ceremony you wish to attend. NOTE: Completing for one does not register you for all ceremonies.
- Be certain to select the number of guest tickets you would like to claim from the drop down in the ticket section of the registration form.
- VERIFY ALL INFORMATION!
- Name, degree, phonetic spelling of name, post-commencement contact information.
- After registration, select “access guest tickets” and email guests their tickets directly or download and print.
- Don’t forget to share all your ceremony information with your friends & family.
All ceremonies are ticketed events.
- Tickets must be secured by April, 2025 - exact date to be announced later in the Fall semester.
Participation Requirements
Eligibility criteria for Commencement Participants:
- Students who have been awarded their degree(s)
- Students who apply for Spring Graduation by the deadline of February 28, 2025
- Students may be eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremonies with **outstanding degree requirements:
- Undergraduate students must be within 20 credit hours of graduating
- Graduate students (Master’s level only) must be within 6 credit hours of graduating
*If you are outside these parameters, please speak to your academic advisor
** Outstanding degree requirements (undergraduate and graduate) to be completed in the Summer/Fall terms
Important to note:
- Commencement participation registration will open February 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
- Registration closes TBD.
- Ed.D./Ph.D. students may not participate in the Commencement Ceremonies unless they have successfully defended their dissertation and received approval prior to the ceremonies.
- You are automatically eligible to participate in a future May commencement ceremony following the completion of your degree requirements, should you not wish to participate prior to completing degree requirements.

Please note, participating in a Commencement ceremony does not mean that you have graduated. Degree conferral (graduation) occurs when all requirements are completed and an Application for Graduation has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
