Registration

Registration is required to attend commencement ceremonies. Students must complete registration for each ceremony they wish to attend.  After registering for a commencement ceremony, students will gain access to guest tickets for that ceremony.  Tickets are distributed exclusively to students via Marching Order, the commencement registration and ticketing system. Registration for May 2025 Commencement Ceremonies opens February 1, 2025 at noon.   

  • How to register to participate in Commencement:

    • Visit https://go.rowan.edu/commencementparticipation
    • Log-in with Rowan credentials and NetID to the graduate homepage.
    • Click “Register” under the ceremony you want to attend. Complete this step for each ceremony you wish to participate in. NOTE: Completing for one does not register you for all ceremonies.
    • Be certain to select the number of guest tickets you would like to claim from the drop down in the ticket section of the registration form.
    • Click “confirm” to submit the form. Respond to ticket prompt (continue).
    • You will now see your guest tickets under the ceremony listing. From here, you can select each ticket to print or email them to guests.
    • To go back to your homepage, click “Home” under “Quick Access”. If needed, complete registration for another ceremony.

    To access your guest tickets at any time, click “View” under the ceremony listing.

All ceremonies are ticketed events. 

  • Tickets must be secured by April 3, 2025. 

Participation Requirements

Eligibility criteria for Commencement Participants:

  • Students who have been awarded their degree(s)
  • Students who apply for Spring Graduation by the deadline of February 28, 2025
  • Students may be eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremonies with **outstanding degree requirements:
    • Undergraduate students must be within 20 credit hours of graduating
    • Graduate students (Master’s level only) must be within 6 credit hours of graduating

** Outstanding degree requirements (undergraduate and graduate) to be completed in the Summer/Fall terms

Important to note:

  • Commencement participation registration will open February 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
  • *Registration deadline for inclusion in the printed program -
    • If you are participating in commencement prior to completing degree requirements, the deadline to register and have your name appear in the printed program is February 28, 2025
  • Registration closes TBD.
  • Ed.D./Ph.D. students may not participate in the Commencement Ceremonies unless they have successfully defended their dissertation and received approval prior to the ceremonies.
  • You are automatically eligible to participate in a future May commencement ceremony following the completion of your degree requirements, should you not wish to participate prior to completing degree requirements.

 Questions about participating in commencement?

 

Please note, participating in a Commencement ceremony does not mean that you have graduated. Degree conferral (graduation) occurs when all requirements are completed and an Application for Graduation has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
