Commencement Registration & Participation Requirements

Registration is Required

IMPORTANT - Submitting an application for graduation does not register a student for Commencement ceremonies!

To attend Commencement, you must:

  • Register for each ceremony you plan to attend
  • Claim guest tickets through Tassel, the Commencement registration and ticketing system

📅 Registration Opens: February 1, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
📅 Registration Closes: April 1, 2026

  • How to Register

    1. Visit the Commencement Participation Portal
    2. Log in with your Rowan NetID
    3. Select the ceremony you want and click Register (repeat if attending more than one ceremony)
    4. Choose the number of guest tickets you want to claim
    5. Click Confirm and respond to the ticket prompt
    6. Access tickets anytime by clicking View under your ceremony listing

    ✅ Guest tickets must be secured by April 1, 2026
    All ceremonies are ticketed events

Participation Requirements

Eligible Participants

You may participate in May 2026 Commencement if you are:

  • A student who has already been awarded a degree
  • A student who applies for Spring Graduation by February 27, 2026
  • A student with outstanding degree requirements, provided that:
    • Undergraduate students are within 20 credit hours of graduating
    • Graduate (Master’s) students are within 6 credit hours of graduating

Outstanding degree requirements must be completed in Summer or Fall 2026. Students outside these parameters should consult their academic advisor.

Doctoral Students

  • Ed.D. and Ph.D. students may only participate if they have successfully defended their dissertation and received final approval prior to the ceremonies.

Key Dates at a Glance

  • February 1, 2026 (12:00 p.m.) – Registration Opens
  • February 27, 2026 – Deadline to apply for Spring Graduation
  • February 27, 2026 – Deadline to register for inclusion in the printed program (for students participating before finishing degree requirements)
  • April 1, 2026 – Registration Closes & Guest Tickets must be secured

 

Please note - Participating in a Commencement ceremony does not mean that you have graduated. Degree conferral (graduation) occurs when all requirements are completed and an Application for Graduation has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
