Shreiber Family Pet Therapy Program

Request a Pet Therapy Visit:

To request a visit with one of our certified therapy dogs & animal-assisted therapy providers, fill out the form HERE. These requests are available to Rowan students, faculty, staff, and affiliates, with student visits being the priority. 

All are welcome to visit go.rowan.edu/PetTherapyRequest20242025 to request a visit as well. 

NOTE:

-Requests are not considered confirmed/scheduled until you receive an Outlook invite from us with the specifics. While we do our best to honor as many requests as possible, not all can be accommodated. Forms must be completed 2+ weeks before scheduled event. Please do not advertise Pet Therapy involvement until/unless you receive the confirmation that the event has been scheduled from us. 

-If requesting an individual Pet Therapy session, there are limited timed that rooms are reserved in the Wellness Center weekly. They should be viewed at: go.rowan.edu/PetTherapyRooms before submitting your request. This is not a guarantee that this time/location is available, as it may already have an appointment scheduled, and it does not guarantee that a dog is available. It just means that days/time outside of these times cannot be accommodated for individual requests. 

-All event requests will be individual safety. Circumstances such as presence of other animals, size of the room, loud noises, or therapy animal's ability to express their desire to be in or not be in a certain situation may impact our ability to have a sufficient safety plan to cover an event. Please alert us of any potential unique circumstances such as those mentioned above, so that we can try to safely accommodate when possible and to help us make an informed decision about whether it is the right environment for our therapy dogs.
