Maps and Shuttle Information

Rowan University runs three shuttle routes: Internal Express, Internal/Shopping and Campus-to-Campus (Glassboro-Camden)/South Jersey Technology Park (SJTP). Shuttle schedules are available and services are free to Rowan students, faculty and staff with valid Rowan ID. Also, during the summer, winter, and spring breaks, there is no scheduled shuttle service. However, special shuttle service will be provided as needed at a low cost.

Shopping Shuttle

The Deptford Mall shuttle is handled by the campus to campus shuttle, whereas the shopping center is handled buy the internal shuttle, please check each respective schedule for more information. 

Rowanshuttle offers Wednesday and Friday evening shopping for students (see the internal shuttle schedule. All students with a proper ID will be picked up at the Student Center and taken to the Glassboro Shopping Center only. The shopping shuttle will start each Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. After returning to campus, students will be dropped off at any of the eight internal shuttle stops. There will be no shopping shuttle during holiday breaks or when classes are not in session. Please take note of the pick-up and drop-off times. Students missing the shuttle will need to find their own means of transportation. The driver will not make a special trip for them.

The shuttle will depart for the Deptford Mall at 1:15pm from James Hall, shuttle stop #5.  The bus will drop students off at the Deptford Mall entrance at parking lot B8, near Sears.  The bus will depart from this same location and return to the Glassboro campus at 4:15pm.  Students are reminded to be prompt, as any student missing the shuttle will be responsible for their own return transportation.   

Internal Shuttle Times & Stops

The Internal Shuttle serving the main campus will run from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, during fall and spring semesters. A second shuttle will run from 7:00 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. to reduce wait times to no more than 15 minutes. The evening shuttle (serving all routes) will run from 4:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with an average wait time of 30 minutes.

Campus-to-Campus Times & Stops 

The Campus-to-Campus (Glassboro-Camden) locations for fall semester are Robinson/James Halls and the Camden Academic Building. This shuttle runs Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except for Glassboro outbound, which runs until 6:00 p.m.).

South Jersey Technology Park Shuttle Times & Stops 

For service to the SJTP, please catch the Campus-to Campus shuttle at stop #5-Robinson/James Hall. Not all Campus-to-Campus shuttles stop at SJTP. Please review the Campus to Campus shuttle schedule for times and details.  

The Camden City Shuttle

The South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) is currently running 2 shuttles that connect the Cooper Medical School of Rowan, Rutgers Tech Campus, Camden Court House, Rutgers Campus, Camden County College, Rowan University Campus in Camden, and City Hall/prosecutor’s office. The shuttle will run Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an average wait time of 20 minutes. Shuttle services are free to students, faculty, and employees of Camden County College, Rowan University, and Rutgers University, and Camden County with a valid ID.

South Jersey Public Transportation

For service away from campus we have partnered with the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA). For $1, riders may take SJTA’s Pureland East-West Community shuttle to/from:

• Avandale Park and Ride in Sicklerville
• Glassboro
• Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill
• Mullica Hill
• Swedesboro
• Pureland Industrial Complex and points between stops

The SJTA shuttle drops off riders on Main Street near Rowan Boulevard Apartments (Pureland stop #5), one block from Rowan’s Internal Shuttle route #1. Visit the Pureland East-West shuttle site for schedules and more information. 

The Pureland East-West shuttle also connects with NJTransit routes 313, 316, 400, 401, 402, 408, 410, 412, 459, 463, and 551. Transfers are available between the NJTransit routes and the Pureland East-West shuttle, providing a free or discounted ride.
