CPR Classes Fall 2024
Adult First Aid/CPR/AED:
The Adult CPR/AED and Fist Aid course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. Successful students will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Please dress in comfortable clothing as skills are performed on the floor.
Saturday, December 7: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Registration closes 12/6 at noon.
Sunday, December 8: 4 - 8 p.m. Registration closes 12/6 at noon.
Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED: No courses at this time.
Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid course incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help pediatric victims (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Pediatric CPR/AED valid for two years.

Registration Directions:
Registration through campusrec.rowan.edu.
- Go to campusrec.rowan.edu
- If Rowan Student or Employee: login with Banner ID. If Non-Rowan Student: Click sign up and create a new user account.
- After you sign in/create account you will be redirected to the home page.
- Select the certifications tab to see all available programs.
- Select CPR Certification. Select session you desire and click register.
- Complete online sale.
Prices:
- Rowan Students $65
- Rowan Faculty and Staff: $80
- General Public: $95
Please note: Class must have a minimum of three people registered for the course to run. The class will be cancelled due to low enrollment; those registered can opt for a full refund or transfer in to the next available course.
American Red Cross Course Policies
Registration and Enrollment
- Eligibility: Course participants must be at least 16 years of age
- Enrollment: Registration is required prior to the course start date. Spaces are limited and are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
- Waitlist: If a class is full, you will have the option to be placed on a waitlist through the registration portal. If you do not see the waitlist as an option, it means the waitlist has been filled.
Class Structure
Format:
- The American Red Cross courses are taught in an online/in-person hybrid format. The blended learning courses equip students to recognize and care for a variety of emergencies.
- It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session.
- Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate is issued.
Duration: The in-person skill sessions vary based on course– between 3-5 hours
Attendance: Class will begin promptly as scheduled. If you are late, you will not be permitted to enter and will forfeit your class fees.
Fees and Payment
Tuition: Fees are due at the time of registration via the Fusion Member Portal (campusrec.rowan.edu)
Refunds:
- No refunds will be given for missed classes. If a class is canceled by the facility, a makeup class or credit will be provided.
- Participants must complete the online precourse materials prior to the start of class. There will be no refunds for those who fail to complete the online content.
Transfers/Changes: If you need to transfer to a different class, please contact Taylor Mullens (mullenst@rowan.ed) prior to the closing of registration. We will do our best to accommodate the request, but cannot guarantee a change.
Cancellations
- Any changes and/or cancellations to your registration must take place prior to the last day or registration to receive a full refund. Cancellations made after registration closes will result in a forfeiture of payment.

- Health Requirements: Participants should be in good health and free from contagious illness. Please notify us of any medical conditions or allergies.
- Attire: The training requires participants to demonstrate physical skills, dress appropriately and for comfort
- Conduct: Positive behavior is expected. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the class.
- Consent: Photos and videos may be taken during lessons for promotional purposes. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed, please contact Taylor Mullens, Assistant Director of Aquatics and Risk Management (mullenst@rowan.edu).
