The stalwart heroes of The Zula Patrol are on an expedition collecting samples of weather for scientist Multo’s research. When the Zula gang inadvertently hurts their loyal pet Gorga’s feelings, he decides to leave Zula and find another planet to live on.
Villain Dark Truder then tricks Gorga into helping with his latest nefarious scheme to rule the Universe. The Zula Patrollers find out and go after him – in the process learning all about weather, both terrestrial and interplanetary.
Based on the hit TV series, The Zula Patrol.
Experience The Aurora (Gr. 3 - adult)
Over seven months in the Arctic Circle, our crews captured timelapse images of the Aurora Borealis with high resolution digital SLR cameras outfitted with fisheye lenses. The results are spectacular. For the first time the aurora has been captured as it was meant to be experienced, as a display that covers the entire sky. This immersive show shares the science behind the aurora and tells the story of our quest to find and photograph the aurora for wraparound display in fulldome theaters. Winner of 2 Telly Awards.
Cosmic Colors (Gr. 4 - 6)
Cosmic Colors will take you on a wondrous journey across the electromagnetic spectrum. Discover the many reasons for color—like why the sky is blue and why Mars is red. Take a tour within a plant leaf and journey inside the human eye. Investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole and then back at your doctor’s office. You will even see the actual color of a dinosaur--based on recent evidence. Get ready for an amazing adventure under a rainbow of cosmic light! Download the Educator Guide.
The Stargazer (Gr. 4 - 7)
Journey to the stars with University of Illinois astronomer Jim Kaler. Nichelle Nichols and Dr. Kaler narrate this three-part personal look at astronomy. The show begins with a child's curiosity, moves on to the science of gravity, light, the spectrum, and how they help us decipher the stars' lifestyles, then ends with reflections on the deeper meanings of astronomy in our lives.
Two Small Pieces of Glass (Gr. 5 - adult)
Two Small Pieces of Glass: The Amazing Telescope follows two students interacting with a female astronomer at a local star party. Along the way, the students learn the history of the telescope, from Galileo’s modifications to a child’s spyglass — using two small pieces of glass — to the launch of the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope and the future of astronomy.
We Are Astronomers (Gr. 5 - adult)
Do you know what an astronomer does? Today’s astronomer is not the lone observer of past centuries. We Are Astronomers reveals the global collaboration, technology, and dedication required to answer the unresolved questions of the universe. We Are Astronomers, narrated by David Tennant, is an exciting new 360° fulldome digital planetarium show produced by NSC Creative, with input from UK astronomers.
Seeing (Gr. 8 - adult)
Follow the journey of a single photon as it is produced in a distant star before traveling across the vast expanse of space to land on someone's retina. This fulldome planetarium show explores some of the fascinating processes of the cosmos, from astrophysics to the biology of the eye and brain. Funded through a generous grant from ZEISS, the show is narrated by astronomer and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Natural Selection (Gr. 8 - adult)
Join Charles Darwin on his voyage with the HMS Beagle to the Galapagos Islands, where he was inspired to develop his theory of transmutation by natural selection. From the comfort of Down House in Kent, Darwin himself will explain the mechanism of natural selection and support it by showing many beautiful examples in nature. The thrill of scientific discovery, science's adventure, and nature's beauty are central to this show. Download the Educator Guide.
