Neurodiversity Faculty and Staff Affinity Group
The Neurodiversity Faculty and Staff Affinity group strives to engage across departments, Rowan university, and the community to strengthen relationships and further efforts of diversity, equity and inclusion. The affinity group is open to all current and interested, neurodiverse faculty and staff. Neurodiversity is a viewpoint that brain differences are normal, rather than deficits. It is a concept where neurological differences are recognized and respected as any other human variation. Some differences can include those labeled with: dyspraxia, dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyscalculia, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), Tourette syndrome.
