Our Mission
Providing programming, research and community engagement that value and prioritize neurodiversity culture.
Our Vision
A fully inclusive community with meaningful participation for all.
In creating equitable and inclusive environments for students, faculty and staff, the Center for Neurodiversity provides programming, research, and community engagement to support meaningful access to higher education and beyond. The term neurodiversity was born in the disability community by autistic self-advocates. Therefore, Rowan’s Center for Neurodiversity embraces the mantra outlined by Charlton (1998) “nothing about us, without us,” envisioning a fully inclusive community with meaningful participation for all.
