RIPPAC Leadership Corps Scholarship

The Rowan Institute for Public Policy & Citizenship (RIPPAC) offers a Leadership Corps Scholarship, totaling $12,000 over four years at Rowan University, to support the development of individual undergraduate students committed to public service.

It is RIPPAC’s intent to award recipients who will serve as undergraduate leaders at RIPPAC while gaining significant, quality experiences in politics, government, and issue advocacy through the completion of four (4) separate internships in any of those areas over the course of a four-year collegiate career at Rowan University.

RIPPAC will actively assist in connecting the recipient to appropriate internships, as well as mentor the recipient’s overall leadership development.

Though it is not a requirement, recipients are strongly encouraged to pursue professional opportunities in politics, government or issue advocacy following graduation.  This scholarship is designed to strengthen the recipient’s career options in those areas.

Recipients of the RIPPAC Leadership Corps Scholarship are eligible for a total of $12,000 over four (4) years ($3,000/year), as long as you:

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA and are a student in good standing at Rowan University.
  • Complete four (4) internships in politics, government, or issue advocacy, with three (3) being summer internships following one’s freshman, sophomore, and junior year, and another internship during the fall or spring semester of the recipient’s junior or senior years.
  • Take on a student leadership role and fully participate in RIPPAC programming each year. At a minimum, the recipient will assist the RIPPAC team in promoting, organizing, and implementing four (4) RIPPAC events each semester.
  • Participate in additional, targeted leadership development activities, coordinated by RIPPAC, held occasionally each year.
