Use the Rowan Online Marketplace to manage online purchases and event registrations. The Marketplace harnesses the Rowan University TouchNet system to allow for secure, PCI compliant credit card payments.
In partnership with the Rowan University Bursar we provide Marketplace Services to the University.
Getting Started
Units or individuals seeking to use the Rowan Online Marketplace system must complete the following:
- Complete an eCommerce Solution Interest form for approval with the Rowan University Office of the Bursar. The form can be found on the Office of the Bursar website.
- Click on Forms and Materials in the menu and
- look for the E-commerce Marketplace Form).
Notice: Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your event for processing of the request form. Various checks and signatures are required. Your event or listing cannot be made publicly available until the form is fully approved.
- Review the Rowan Online Marketplace Services Policy which outlines in detail the services we provide, fees, and cancelations/refunds.
- Complete the Non-Credit Project Intake Form
Features
- Secure, PCI-compliant, online credit card processing.
- Online forms; collection of additional information on checkout/registration.
- Automatic invoicing with Bill Me Later option for payment by check or PO.
- Discounts supported by date, combination, rowan employee, or promo-code.
- Payment plans for managing larger payments; e.g., registration for camps. Note: Departments that allow customers to pay by way of a payment plan, it is the department’s responsibility to ensure all payments are collected before services are rendered. Uncollected funds are the responsibility of the department
- General admission e-ticketing, including event ticket collection on mobile phones.
- On demand reporting by listing and department.
- Dedicated phone and email/ticket support provided by Rowan Online.

Fee Type | Description | Cost |
---|---|---|
Use Fee | Non-refundable fee for providing setup, management, and support of your event listing(s). | 5% commission of total sales or a minimum of $100, whichever is greater. |
Credit Card Processing Fee | The commission required by the payment gateway vendor for the cost of processing online credit card payments. | 2.85% commission of all credit card transactions. |
Notices:
- Fees are subject to change with notice from the Office of the Bursar and/or Rowan Online. Please consult with either office to ensure that the posted fees are accurate based on your project timeline
- There are additional service fees that accompany the Marketplace Use Fees when the Marketplace system is integrated with Canvas for the purpose of non-credit online courses. For more information, review the Rowan Online Non-Credit Online Course Policy.
- All fees are managed and collected by the Rowan University Office of the Bursar and subject to change. Please inquire with the Bursar for more information.
