ALL Registrar-related needs of undergraduate students during the fall and spring terms (except those in 100% Rowan Global programs)* are managed by the Office of the University Registrar: www.rowan.edu/registrar; registrar@rowan.edu.
*Students in Rowan Global programs, or winter and summer students, should contact Rowan Global directly at globalstudent@rowan.edu for any registration-related needs.
Who Can Register
Students who have been accepted and matriculated into a Rowan University undergraduate program may register in fall or spring** during the designated registration period for their classification (senior, junior, sophomore, freshman, etc.), when online registration is offered for that particular term, via their self-student account (www.rowan.edu/selfservice). Students who have been accepted for a future term (ex: accepted for Fall 2023, but would like to take a Summer 2023 course) are considered non-matriculated, and are permitted to accumulate no more than 24 total credits of undergraduate coursework (11.5 per term) until accepted and matriculated into an undergraduate program. Students in this type of situation should follow the instructions on the "Visiting/Non-matriculated Student" drop-down on this page.
- First-time matriculated Freshmen students are manually registered for their very first term (between April-August the fall term before they begin courses) by the Office of the University Registrar in partnership with University Advising and according to academic department course guidelines for the student's particular major.
- It is very important that incoming students complete any required placement testing ASAP after confirming their plan to attend Rowan U, as initial registration is dependent upon students being text exempt or test complete.
- The mandatory Orientations for incoming students have time set aside for students to meet with Advisors and re-work any schedules at that time if needed.
- First-time matriculated Transfer students register themselves online via their self-student account (www.rowan.edu/selfservice) for their very first term of coursework in consultation with their major's Program Guide as well as their academic advisor. Generic questions about transferring/getting started at RU, may be sent to transferhelp@rowan.edu.
