Vision

Our vision is to build a thriving, interconnected university community where all members feel valued, affirmed, and empowered to engage authentically. Together, we will develop a shared culture of belonging that prepares Rowan to contribute to a diverse society and inspire positive change across our campuses and in the world beyond

Mission

The Division of Inclusive Excellence, Community, and Belonging is dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusivity wherein all faculty, staff, and students’ diverse perspectives, experiences, and identities are welcome and celebrated. We understand that belonging is central to the collective success of our Rowan University community; thus, we work to create spaces that are psychologically safe and supportive, enabling diverse voices to shape the future of our institution and drive innovation. By providing resources, support, and opportunities for purposeful connection, we empower individuals to grow, innovate, and contribute to a globally connected society.

Inclusive Excellence

Inclusive Excellence is the pursuit of achieving our highest level of innovation, impact, and success through building structures that facilitate belonging and sustain participation of all community members.

Community

Community consists of diverse individuals with purposeful connections through affirming relationships and welcoming spaces (physical and virtual).

Belonging

Belonging is experienced in spaces where individuals are valued, affirmed, and psychologically safe to be their authentic selves.
