Employee Campaign

A Message from James Newell

Dear Colleagues,

Working together creates exceptional opportunities.

Our University’s progress has been important and exciting thanks to the collective contributions of the Rowan community.

As we kick off our annual New Jersey State Employees Charitable Campaign, I ask that you join me in supporting one, or more, of the 1,000+ charities that help improve the lives of those in need.

Thanks to your generosity, in 2017 the Rowan community contributed more than $231,222 to a wide variety of areas and programs at the University and an additional $17,126 to aid the work of outside charities and organizations. From support for Rowan initiatives like the SHOP and the Early Childhood Demonstration Center to organizations that promote literacy, medical research and environmental education, let’s come together again and make an even bigger difference in our communities, our state and our country.

We are again combining the New Jersey State Employees Charitable Campaign and the Rowan University Foundation Annual Fund Campaign and have condensed the campaign to two weeks (October 29–November 9, 2018). As with last year, our goal is strictly focused on participation. With your support, we hope to have 500 employees participate.

As always, you are encouraged to give to the charity of your choice through the New Jersey Employees Charitable Campaign or to the University through the Rowan University Foundation. Gifts to Rowan can be made to any area of the University—restricted or unrestricted—and of any gift amount. We are dedicated to our employees and we want you to be just as invested in supporting the causes that mean the most to you.

Please use the enclosed giving forms or visit our website www.rowan.edu/ECC to make a gift, or contact Chelsea Haines, Assistant Director of Annual Giving, at 856-256-5740 or hainesc@rowan.edu.

Thank you for all you do on behalf of our students, alumni and communities. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Sincerely,

James Newell
