Biography

Melissa (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Master of Social Work from Widener University in 2011 and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in 1999. Her areas of professional interest include treating trauma, grief and loss, crisis intervention, and somatic reactions. Her theoretical orientations is includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. Melissa is a Certified Yoga Teacher and utilizes her training when approaching trauma treatment through a somatic lense. Melissa also volunteers for the Mercury Critical Incident Response Team providing mental health support and resources to first responders during and following critical incidents.
