Biography

Melissa joined the Wellness Center in 2021. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996 with her BSN in nursing and is currently working on her Master's degree in Wellness and LIfestyle Management at Rowan University. Melissa started her career in Pittsburgh on a transplant and trauma unit. When her family relocated to New Orleans, she worked at Tulane University as a research coordinator in adolescent medicine and at Ochsner Clinic in a transplant ICU. When she moved back to her home state of PA, she worked as a school nurse and found her passion by combining her nursing skills with education. Melissa loves working with and teaching the Rowan students. She loves living in NJ and taking day trips to the shore, Philly and NYC. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She loves a long walk, animals, cooking, gardening, reading and cheering on the Philly sports teams.
