Biography

Marta received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Before joining Rowan University, Dr. Diaz was employed at Nemours in Wilmington, Delaware where she worked as a primary care physician for just over 12 years and an urgent care physician for just over 10 years. Dr. Diaz enjoys teaching her patients about preventive medicine: staying healthy (well-being) and safety. She also enjoys volunteering and was on the Board of Directors for Delaware Guidance Services for Children & Youth, Inc. for 18 years. She is currently a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald’s House-DE, and she is currently President of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) and has been involved with this organization in different committees providing advocacy for children, adolescents, and young adults. She has been involved with continuing medical education (CME) for healthcare providers for many years as both Program Director and as a presenter at national conferences.
