Dr. Harley E. Flack Student Mentoring Program

The Dr. Harley E. Flack Student Mentoring Program at Rowan University is an academic success and retention program which provides participants academic, personal, and professional support throughout the course of their undergraduate career at Rowan. Through personalized mentorship, academic support, professional guidance, co-curricular activities, and leadership initiatives, the program has successfully supported participants in achieving their goals and full potential as students at Rowan University.

Mentees

Mentees are incoming first year or transfer undergraduate students looking to be mentored by an upperclass undergraduate student for the course of one academic year.

Peer Mentors

Peer Mentors are second, third or fourth year undergraduate students in good academic and judicial standing who volunteer to mentor an incoming first year or transfer undergraduate student for one academic year.

Mentoring Ambassadors

Mentoring Ambassadors are first, second, third or fourth year undergraduate students who volunteer to mentor high school students at Delsea Regional and Glassboro High school for one semester.

Professional Mentors

Professional Mentors are full time faculty, staff and administrative Rowan University employees who volunteer to mentor undergraduate students serving as Peer Mentors in the program for one academic year.

The Dr. Harley E. Flack Student Mentoring Program is staffed by Undergraduate Coordinators, Graduate Coordinators and who provide organizational structure as well as interpersonal and personal development through co- curricular activities and leadership initiatives.

Signature Events

The Dr. Harley E. Flack Student Mentoring Program offers a variety of free and low-cost educational programs and social events to foster personal, social, academic and professional growth. Mentees and mentors are encouraged to participate in these events.
