Jeff Gant
Vice Chancellor for Admissions
Biography
Jeff Gant serves as Vice Chancellor for Admissions in the division of Strategic Enrollment Management where he leads the University’s efforts to recruit students through a host of traditional and non-traditional pathways to undergraduate and graduate study. Prior to joining Rowan University in July 2025, Jeff held the role of vice president for enrollment management and chief enrollment officer at the State University of New York at New Paltz and Saint Peter’s University.
Jeff began his career in higher education at Montclair State University, his alma mater, where he held progressively responsible positions over a 13 year period. There, he became inspired by an access-driven mission that transforms students’ lives and helps the citizens of New Jersey and beyond achieve upward mobility and become the next generation of change agents. The pursuit of this mission has been his primary driver at all the institutions he’s been privileged to serve, and Rowan University’s success in this area and its record for innovation is what drew him to become a Rowan Prof.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Translation and a Master of Arts in French Studies from Montclair State University.
