Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant does not have to be repaid. The grant amount may change annually and is dependent upon the number of credits a student is taking. Students applying for financial aid by completing the FAFSA are automatically considered for this grant.
To be eligible for the Pell Grant, students must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a matriculated undergraduate student in an eligible, degree-seeking program.
- Student must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
- Student must demonstrate financial eligibility as determined by the need analysis formula and Pell Grant table.
Limits for Pell Grant Eligibility
The Pell Grant has a lifetime limit of 12 eligible semesters of full-time study. Two semesters of half-time enrollment would equal a semester of full-time enrollment. Two semesters of less than half-time enrollment would equal one semester of half-time enrollment.
