Discussions

The richness of the many themes in The Sixth Extinction can be best explored with others. To provide the opportunity for all of us to learn from each others’ viewpoints and to explore what college-level discussions of important texts are like, all new students will be scheduled to participate in Discussion Groups on Sunday, September 3, from 1:45-2:45 p.m. Your Welcome Weekend materials will let you know where to go. This is also a chance to get to know other students in your residence hall or College, and to meet current Rowan students as well as faculty and staff. Come join in our community of ideas!

Reading Groups

For Faculty and Staff: Join the Faculty Center's Summer Book Club!
Looking for a great summer read and a lively discussion group? The Sixth Extinction, Rowan’s common reading, is our featured summer book. Find out what all the excitement is about! The book can be yours by simply joining the book club and pledging to attend one book talk. Book talks will be held in late July/early August. Contact Clarissa Shoemaker (x4353), and we’ll deliver your book to your office. Keep learning; keep growing!
