George A. Awad
George J. Awad was appointed to the Rowan University Foundation Board of Directors in 2013.
Mr. Awad is the Founder and current Managing Director of IAMG, LLC, a strategic intellectual property consulting, commercialization and monetization firm. He has been active in Philadelphia law and created strategies for developing and managing intellectual property portfolios. Previously, he worked as an associate for Woodcock Washburn, LLP and later served as an associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP. In 2008, he founded two companies—his place of current employment as well as the Forge Intellectual Capital, LLC, a strategic intellectual capital venture firm where he served as the Principal until 2011.
A member of a number of professional associations, Mr. Awad served as the past chair of the Computer Practice Committee for the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Lawyers Association. He has experience on numerous boards including Frontline Pharmaceuticals, LLC; Patent Scout, LLC; Madame RX, LLC; Ciright Companies; Independence Charter School; and Encore Services, Inc.
Mr. Awad received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his Juris Doctorate at Pepperdine University School of Law in 1999.
