Legacy and Leadership NPHC Plaza at Rowan University
Creation of a National Pan-Hellenic Council Plaza at Rowan University will support the institution’s goal to provide an environment that celebrates the value of diversity and inclusive excellence. The unifying and inspiring initiative will pay tribute to the legacy of African-American Greek Life at the University and will create a gathering place for alumni and current students within these organization to come together, celebrate and reflect.
Rowan University is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and respectful environment in which all students can pursue academic challenge and grow as individuals. The University’s creation of the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in 2019 marked a defining moment in efforts to establish the institution as a national leader in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion. The Division brings together departments and programs to develop initiatives designed to address issues of access, equity and inclusion across all of the University’s campuses. This work involves students, faculty, staff and administrators in developing and sustaining partnerships, programs and opportunities to make the university an ever more diverse and inclusive community.
The Campaign for the NPHC Plaza at Rowan University
We are in the process of planning a fundraising campaign that could seek to raise as much as $650,000—the projected cost of creating the proposed conceptual design of the NPHC Plaza at Rowan University.
