Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:

 Responsibilities Include: Researching and analyzing legislative and constituent issues, Conducting community outreach, Tracking legislative issues in a highly detail oriented manner, Drafting policy briefs 

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:

             ✔  Strategy sessions?           Legislative sessions?           Committee Hearings?

Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends?           Yes    ✔  No

 From time to time, we ask them to help out with events in the evening and mobile office hours.

Do you have any suggestions for the applicant?

Qualifications include: Excellent written and oral communication skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps, Access to reliable transportation, Applicant must be highly organized and have serious attention to detail, Applicant must be willing to embrace a high-volume work environment with multiple projects and strict deadlines, Proficiency in Spanish is a plus .
