Intern work areas:           Clerical X        Research  X     Errands X        Organizing X

Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:  Interns will work with the campaign manager, field director, finance director, and organizers to build campaign infrastructure. Additionally, interns will be asked to assist with voter outreach, vote by mail recruitment, candidate staffing, event staffing and preparation, and a variety of other campaign related tasks. Interns will have opportunities to work in the following departments: voter contact (field), fundraising, communications, and political.

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:

Internal strategy sessions? X       Legislative sessions?      Committee hearings?  

Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends?  If so, please explain. Weekends are when the majority of our voter contact takes place, so at least 2-4 hours one day a weekend will be asked of our interns. While it is not a requirement, it is an ask we make because it is the most effective time to reach voters.

 Applicants should understand that the LD2 campaign is flexible, and we are open to any areas of interest on a campaign. We will work to accommodate the intern’s schedule, and we are an inclusive campaign that prides itself on being a welcoming environment to promote unity amongst our team.
