Please explain the work that will be required of the intern:  Interns in our legislative office assist with constituent services as well as local outreach activities and events. They will assist with writing articles for the quarterly newsletter and social media posts for the Assemblyman’s Facebook and Instagram. They will also be given a chance to learn about the legislative process, observe committee meetings and conduct policy research. 

Will there be opportunities for the intern to observe:

Internal strategy sessions? X      Legislative sessions?  X    Committee hearings?  X

Is the intern expected to work evenings and weekends?  If so, please explain.  

If there are events in the evening or weekends, you are welcome to attend, however, after hours work is not required.
