Military Services Deferment

  • MILITARY TUTION DEFERMENT PLAN -
      • Follow the directions below to enroll in the Military Tuition Deferment Plan so that your bill will be on hold until 12/3, 5/3 or 8/3 , meaning you will not be penalized for non-payment while the University processes your benefits.
      • Please note, every student will have a bill regardless of the benefit type being used.
      • Post 9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33) will not show on the bill until payments are received from the VA. This occurs sometime after the add/drop period has ended
      • You will not be able to enroll in the plan if you have an unpaid bill from a previous term
      • You will not be able to enroll if you have not registered for classes/ Do not have a bill posted yet
      • You will not be able to enroll if you have a 0 balance or do not owe anything on your bill
      • Instructions for the Military Services Deferment Agreement Enrollment
        1. Go to ssb.rowan.edu
        2. Click "Access Banner Services"
        3. Log in using your Banner ID number and PIN
        4. Select the "Bursar" tab, then select the "ePay Center" link
        5. Click the "View Bills and Make Payment" button
        6. Once you are directed to the ePay Center, select "Payment Plans" from the top of the page
        7. Select "Enroll Now"
        8. When asked to select a term, select "Current Semester (ex. Spring 2024) " and click the "Select" button
        9. The "Military Services Deferment – "Current Semester (ex. Spring 2024)" plan will display; you may first view the details of the plan by selecting the 'Details' button; then, click the green "Select" button to start enrollment
        10. In the 'Payment Plan Enrollment' section, you will be able to view the full plan description. Please read and review the description carefully. Then, review your 'Eligible Charges and Credits' and 'Payment Schedule'. A down payment is not required, however, if you would like to pay a certain amount towards your account upon enrolling into this agreement, enter the desired dollar amount in the "Optional down payment" field.
        11. Under the 'Set up Automatic Payments' Select 'No', you will not be required to initiate a payment on or before the December 3rd , May 3rd or August 3rd due date. Once you have selected your desired automatic payment option and have reviewed the rest of this screen, select 'Continue'.
        12. The deferred payment agree will appear. Please read through the entire agreement. You must select "I agree to the terms and conditions" before completing your enrollment. If you have selected to make a down payment towards your account, you will first be asked to enter payment information in order to process that payment. Once you complete the step to enter payment information, you will be directed to the agreement to finalize your enrollment in the 'Military Services Deferment' for the current semester.
