Academic Component

RU UB Project activities run September through May located on the Rowan University - Camden Campus Academic Building two (2) Saturdays a month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and weekdays during the afterschool program Monday-Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Woodrow Wilson High School.

The academic component includes:

After school homework and tutoring program
In-class tutoring support
Saturday academic classes at Rowan in Camden
Computers/Media Technology
Art/Visual Effects
Science
Math
English
Foreign Language
Leadership training activities
Bilingual mentors
Counseling, academic advisement, college preparation
Financial aid workshops
Social activities

UB Club at Woodrow Wilson High School

The Upward Bound Club was created to provide UB students at Wilson an opportunity to gather during selected lunch periods for UB purposes. We meet before their Saturday classes, two Fridays a month during their lunch periods. The UB staff also utilizes this time to discuss any UB affairs prior to their Saturday classes.
