Curriculum Submission Deadlines, AY 2024-2025
Fall 2024 proposal submission deadlines:
Proposals should be approved by the Department, Dean, and College on or before Friday, October 4, 2024. Proposals received after October 4 may not be reviewed until the following semester.
Spring 2025 proposal submission deadlines:
Proposals should be approved by the Department, Dean, and College on or before Friday, February 21, 2025. Proposals received after February 21 may not be reviewed until the following semester.
Important Notes on OnBase Effective Dates:
- Proposals should be approved by departments, by dean’s offices, and by college curriculum committees on or before the deadlines listed above. Adhering to the deadlines will help ensure proposals are processed in the same semester in which they are submitted.
- OnBase is configured for proposal effective dates to be a minimum of one year out (e.g., Fall 2024 proposals are effective Fall 2025), so proposal sponsors always should plan for one year to implementation.
- Curriculum proposals are not considered active until after they are approved by the Department, Dean, and College, and are officially in the Senate Curriculum Committee review queue. To ensure a proposal retains its original effective date (i.e. the date associated with the original proposal date/term of submission), sponsors should complete in a timely fashion all revisions called for in the pre-Senate review process, as failure to do so will automatically push the effective date forward by one semester (e.g. from Fall 2024 to Spring 2025).
Submitting Curriculum Proposals Through OnBase Curriculum Review Application
Overview
Beginning in Fall 2019, sponsors/co-sponsors of curriculum proposals will submit their proposals using an application called OnBase. OnBase provides a paperless process that will automatically route proposals to the appropriate parties, allow users to keep track of revisions, and provide status updates. The curriculum approval steps are the same, only the submission process has changed. See Curriculum Proposal Approval Steps

TRANSITION TO MODERN CAMPUS CURRICULUM
In March 2025 the University will be decommissioning the OnBase curriculum software and replacing it with Modern Campus Curriculum (MCC).
Implementation Timeline
February 21, 2025: Official Spring 2025 proposal submission deadline. Proposals should be submitted to the Senate using OnBase.
To be considered on-time submissions to the Senate for the current curriculum review cycle, proposals should be approved by the Department, Dean, and College on or before Friday, February 21, 2025. Proposals received by the Senate after February 21 may not be reviewed until the following semester. Adhering to the on-time deadline will help ensure proposals are processed in the same semester in which they are submitted and that proposed changes retain their original effective term and year (Spring 2026).
March 7, 2025: OnBase will be closed to new proposal submissions. All new proposals must go through Modern Campus Curriculum (MCC).
After March 7, 2025, OnBase will be available to complete the review and approval of all proposals that have reached the Senate Curriculum Committee queue on or before March 6, 2025. Any proposals in OnBase that have not reached the Senate by March 6 will be withdrawn automatically.
Resources
OnBase Archive: OnBase will continue to be available after March 7, 2025 as a read-only archive for OnBase curriculum proposals submitted between Fall 2019 and Spring 2025. OnBase may continue to be accessed using Rowan log in credentials.
OnBase also will continue to be available for all pre-OnBase curriculum proposals submitted between Fall 2005 and Spring 2019. IRT’s directions for accessing all archived pre-OnBase curriculum proposals:
