OPTION B - Students who will be completing degree requirements in the Summer/Fall 2019 (Walking But Not Graduating Form)

The commencement ceremony is held once a year, in May. To be eligible to attend the commencement ceremony with outstanding degree requirements, an undergraduate student must be within 12 credit hours of graduating, or a Graduate student (Master’s Level only) who has 6 or fewer credits to complete during the following Summer Semester.

Important to note:

  • EdD/Doctoral students may not participate in the Commencement Ceremony unless they have defended their dissertation prior.
  • You are automatically eligible to participate in a future May commencement ceremony following the completion of your degree requirements, should you not wish to participate prior.

If applicable to you, confirm your attendance at the commencement ceremonies (R.S.V.P.) through Student Self Service Banner between March 1 - 15 ONLY:

  • Go to Rowan's "Student Self-Service Banner"
  • Access Banner Services and then enter your Banner ID and PIN
  • Select "Student and Financial Aid" and click on "Commencement Attendance Confirmation"
  • Select OPTION B, and  follow the prompts to complete your participation response.
    • Once you submit this response, your tickets (if needed) are reserved.

If you are outside the parameters for both option A and B, please speak to your academic advisor.

Questions about participating in commencement?

Please note, participating in a Commencement ceremony does not mean that you have graduated. Degree conferral (graduation) occurs when all requirements are completed and an Application for Graduation has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
