It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of Veda Zuponcic, professor in the College of the Arts, on June 3, 2026.
Veda joined Rowan University in 1971 and served as a professor in the Department of Music until her recent passing. In over 50 years of teaching, she trained countless students and performed frequently on campus.
As a pianist, Veda performed around the world. In 1992, she was an Exchange Professor at the Moscow State Conservatory where she taught a full class of students and gave a series of lectures on American piano music
Relatives and friends are invited Sunday, June 7, 2026, beginning 9:15 am to Platt Memorial Chapels, Inc. 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ where funeral services will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ. The funeral services will also be live streamed on Veda’s memorial page at www.plattmemorial.com.
