Robert D. Lynch

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of Robert Lynch, professor emeritus in the Rohrer College of Business, on May 16, 2026.

Robert joined Rowan in 1973 as an assistant professor and retired in 1999 as a professor after 26 years of service. He also served as Founding Director of the MBA Program. After his retirement, Dr. Lynch continued to teach as an adjunct professor until 2008.

The Robert D. Lynch MBA Scholarship is named in his honor and recognizes excellence and promise in MBA students in areas of leadership, engagement with the MBA community, and commitment to actively contributing to the growing stature and reputation of the Rohrer MBA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and a celebration of his life Thursday May 28, 2026 from 10 to 10:45am in Christ Our Light Church, 402 N. Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am.

Memorial tribute gifts made in his memory will be directed to support his MBA Scholarship fund and continue his legacy through opportunities for future students: Robert D. Lynch MBA Scholarship Fund
