It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Carol Welsh, professor emeritus in Accounting & Finance, on February 24, 2024.
Carol served in the Department of Accounting & Finance of the Rohrer College of Business for 35 years, including over 20 years in the role of Department Chair. Carol was instrumental in establishing the Accounting Advisory Board and a number of the department’s outreach programs such as the Accounting Expo and the Accounting Mentorship Program. Her service to Rowan University extended beyond the department, having served on numerous committees and tasks forces, including several years on the University Budget Committee. Carol retired from Rowan in 2018.
