College of Education Open House
Join us for Rowan University's 1st Clinical Experiences and Practice Open House hosted by the College of Education at Rowan University on Monday, October 15, 2018. The event will take place from 11:15 to 1:15 in the Atrium of James Hall. The Open House is meant to give Rowan students an opportunity to meet our educational partners about placements in their school during the candidates’ final yearlong residency.
Students should dress business casual for this event and bring multiple copies of their resume (resumes are not required but recommended).

| Woodbury Junior Senior High School | Woodbury Junior Senior High School is located in Woodbury, Gloucester County. The school contains grades 6-12 and has approximately 710 students. AVID is a college readiness program at the school. We are looking for college students to serve as tutors on Tuesday and/or Thursdays from 7:30 am to 11:30 am for students in grades 7-12. Students come to class on those days with a question from one of their core academic classes. Their peers, through guiding questions, help the students to come to some understanding about their question. The tutor serves as a facilitator to the students and is not expected to teach nor to know the answers to the questions. This activity, called tutorology, helps to train students how to form and be effective members of study groups. the tutors will also serve as a resource to students for college and career readiness skills, such as time management and study strategies.
