Grants

Grants are a source of financial aid that do not need to be repaid. Grant eligibility is based on your financial need as determined by your FAFSA application.

In general, most grants are only available to undergraduate students pursuing their first bachelor's degree.

Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant does not have to be repaid. The grant amount may change annually and is dependent upon the number of credits a student is taking. Students applying for financial aid by completing the FAFSA are automatically considered for this grant.

Tuition Aid Grant (TAG)

The TAG grant is available to matriculated, full time, undergraduate students who live in New Jersey and demonstrate financial need. The State of New Jersey funds the TAG grant.

Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF)

The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund provides financial assistance and support services (i.e. counseling, tutoring, and developmental course work) to students from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who attend institutions of higher education in the State of New Jersey. Students must participate in the EOF program at Rowan University in order to be eligible for this grant..

FSEOG

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) are available to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. Priority is given to students who also receive a Pell Grant. Students may be eligible to receive between $100 and $4,000 a year, depending on their financial need and the funds made available to the college. The FSEOG grant does not have to be repaid. Students applying for financial aid by completing the FAFSA are automatically considered for this grant.
