Office of Student Equity & Compliance

The Office of Student Equity & Compliance (OSEC) is dedicated to supporting students and protecting their rights under Title VI and Title IX. Our office works to ensure a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment at Rowan University.

Our Mission: To actively engage and educate the Rowan University community on the prevention, identification, and reporting of discrimination and harassment. We are committed to developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive policies, procedures, and practices that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation

The University addresses allegations of discrimination on the basis of the protected classed under the Procedures for Addressing Allegations of Student Discrimination and Retaliation

Report Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation

Title IX & Student Sexual Misconduct

Allegations of sexual misconduct that fall within the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX regulations are addressed under the Title IX Sexual Harassment/Sexual Assault policy for both students and employees.

For allegations that do not fall within the definition or jurisdiction of the Title IX regulations, a second policy is used by the University, the Student Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Policy. This policy, for example, applies to allegations of sexual exploitation; or sexual harassment/sexual assault that does not occur on campus or in an education program or activity.
