Rowan University Suicide Prevention Awareness Social Media Campaign

The Rowan University Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team in partnership with the Rowan University DEI Council and Strategic Priorities Committee: Fostering Diverse and Inclusive Communities (SPC1) are facilitating a suicide prevention awareness social media campaign in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff from all Rowan colleges and schools including the Rowan–Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine (Rowan–Virtua SOM) and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU).

Please consider submitting a "selfie" while holding a sign written, typed, and/or otherwise designed with the reason suicide prevention matters to you. (Photo submission examples from Rowan DEI team members are below.) You can also submit your photos from participation in past suicide prevention community events. Here is the photo submission form link.

*If you would prefer to email your photo submission(s), please send an email with the following information to fortun83@rowan.edu and shapiror@rowan.edu

  • first name (preferred name)
  • last name
  • pronouns (optional)
  • affiliation to the Rowan community (student, faculty, staff, and/or alumni)
  • photo file(s)
  • photo caption(s)

Photo submissions will be published on Rowan DEI social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and potentially featured on the Rowan DEI Blog and other Rowan content mediums across the fall 2023 semester.
