Rowan to hold on-campus Commencement in July
We are excited to share with you that, thanks to Gov. Murphy’s announcement earlier today, Rowan University plans to hold in-person Commencement ceremonies in mid-July.
While there are many details to work out, we expect that social distancing protocols likely will still be in effect and ceremonies will be different than we are accustomed to.
We hope to share more information (i.e., how to register, how many guests may attend) later this week as we receive guidance from Gov. Murphy’s office on what is allowed.
Congratulations to all!

Celebrating Your Accomplishments
Each year, it is our honor to welcome thousands of graduates to celebrate with their loved ones and our academic community during Commencement festivities. While Commencement looks quite different this year, our #RowanPROUD spirit remains the same.
The virtual ceremony includes President Houshmand’s address, messages from Adam Savage, Catherine Ni ’00, and Riccardo Dale ‘20, as well as the conferral of degrees.
Congratulations, Class of 2020. We hope to celebrate with you soon at our in-person event, where we will call each graduate’s name and invite them to receive their diploma cover on stage.
Ali Houshmand, Ph.D.
