Room 212: Make and Take
Room 212: Make and Take
Make and Take Room 212
Play around for a bit with our many materials, tools, and facilitation guides. Try something new or dive deeper into what you know. Either way, make something while you’re here and take it with you to share.
Rules of the Room:
- Sharing is Caring. Take only the space and materials you need, making sure there’s a way for others to join.
- Treat Our Stuff Like Your Stuff. Show the supplies care. They're here for everyone to enjoy, so let's make them last.
- Be a Maker, Not a Waster. Use materials thoughtfully. A little resourcefulness goes a long way.
- Snack Later, Create Now. Keep food and drinks outside the Maker Space.
- Good Vibes, Creative Minds. Respect others and their personal space. Use kind words, and keep the volume to a level that takes others into consideration.
- Take the Masterpiece, Leave the Machinery and Materials. Your creation is yours to keep! The tools, equipment, and materials live here, so please leave them when you go.
- Everything Has a Home. Please help materials find their way back before you leave. They get homesick.
- Leave No Trace…Except Your Creative Energy. Please clean up after you create so the next maker can jump right in.
- Strangers Are Collaborators You Haven't Met Yet. Don’t be a stranger for long. Say hello, introduce yourself, compliment someone's creation, or strike up a conversation. Connection is part of the process. Creativity, like life, is meant to be shared!
- Take Play Seriously. Perfection is overrated: embrace the unexpected, make mistakes, laugh a little, and enjoy the process. In Matt’s honor, we hope you experiment, try something new, and most importantly - have fun!
