Joseph A. Barnes Award for Outstanding Service
KEVIN DAHM
Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, Kevin D. Dahm is deeply dedicated to his students, College, University and profession. As undergraduate program chair since 2019, he has advised students academically and professionally. He also has engaged in curricular programming and assessment, volunteered at open houses and events for accepted students, and served as his department’s ABET coordinator and self-study writer, his nominator notes. “Students respect him deeply. As a testament to this, students who have graduated take the time and effort to meet with him whenever they visit our campus, a clear sign that he has made a deep, personal impact in their lives when they were studying at Rowan,” says an administrator. Additionally, Dahm has chaired several college promotion and curriculum review committees, the University-wide Senate Tenure & Recontracting and Promotion Committee and Senate Curriculum Committee. Dahm is associate editor of two engineering education journals and has served in the American Society for Engineering Education. He received the 2019 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award—Rowan’s highest honor for teaching.
