Using game engines, VR and AR combined with his drawings and paintings, Solmi creates satirical and clownish portrayals of controversial contemporary and historical characters.
Tracing Origins: Video Tour and more
This group exhibition brings together three Philadelphia based artists who create work inspired by ancestral homelands and native cultures. Pulling from personal memories, experiences, and familial influences their stories are expressed through photography, paper engineering, painting, and sculpture.
Power Masks: Art Education Project
Rowan University Art Gallery is teaming up with Clearview Regional High School, Rowan University’s Department of STEAM Education, College of Education, and Philadelphia-based artist Claes Gabriel.
Claes Gabriel, who will be exhibiting at RUAG this spring, creates vibrant 3D paintings that are the source of inspiration for the Power Masks project. A key goal of the program is to bring an artist directly into the classroom setting. The resulting artwork by Clearview Regional High School students will be on view at the Gallery from April 15–22.
The Center for Art & Social Engagement
The Center for Art and Social Engagement serves as a venue for investigating social issues through arts-based methods. Anchored by a permanent display of The Sister Chapel, a historic collaborative feminist installation, CASE draws inspiration from the cooperative spirit of the women’s art movement.
