John H. Martinson Honors College Naming and Plaque Unveiling

President Ali Houshmand and John H. Martinson Honors College Dean Lee Talley hosted a naming and plaque unveiling reception in September in honor of longtime donor and friend, John Martinson.

A generous supporter of Rowan's engineering and education programs since 2006, Martinson's $5 million commitment to create an endowment within the College is transformational and will grow to serve Honors students for decades to come. He was motivated to invest so significantly in the College because he believes it provides vital training for and encouragement to society’s future leaders.

He believes that the College’s “Think. Thrive. Share.” motto is much more than just a slogan and supports a culture within the College that distinguishes it from the vast majority of its counterparts in the nation.
