Division of University Advancement Mission Statement

The mission of the Division of University Advancement is to build strong, lasting relationships among alumni, donors and other important constituents to encourage investment in and support of the University.

The Division provides leadership and assistance to garner support for the institution and enhance its reputation and visibility among its internal and external constituencies through strategic relationship building, fundraising and stewardship.

The Division oversees the following functions: Development, Annual Giving, Corporate & Foundation Relations, Advancement Services & Donor Relations, Advancement Communications, Alumni Engagement, Distinguished Events, and the Rowan University Foundation. Through the cultivation and establishment of new relationships, and the continuance of ongoing relationships, the Division works to promote and advance the overall mission of the University and expand its margin of excellence.

Rowan University Foundation Mission Statement

The Rowan University Foundation, working closely with the Division of University Advancement, has as its mission to support Rowan University in its role as a new model for excellence in higher education. The Foundation supports the University by developing meaningful and synergistic relationships between the organization and the larger community as it advocates for quality and diverse scholarly experiences for students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The Rowan University Foundation oversees and coordinates all fund-raising activities and is responsible for the management, investment and distribution of all charitable contributions to benefit the University. As the independent, officially designated non-profit organization of philanthropic aid to the institution, the Foundation is the only vehicle through which charitable gifts may be made to Rowan University.
